Recently, Shandong — A delegation from the South Korean Deep Mineral Development Consortium visited Shandong Beijun Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. to conduct an on-site investigation of specialized equipment suitable for mines over 500 meters underground. They held technical consultations on the pressure resistance and wear resistance of products such as electric mucking loaders and mining dump trucks, aiming to seek equipment solutions for South Korea's deep metal mine mining projects.
Addressing Deep Mining Pain Points: Three Customized Equipment Become Focus of Inspection
The delegation went deep into the special equipment workshop of Beijun Machinery. Targeting the extreme environment of South Korea's deep mines, characterized by "high water pressure, high gas, and large temperature fluctuations", they focused on inspecting three types of specialized equipment:
High-pressure resistant electric mucking loader: Adopting an 80MPa pressure-resistant shell and a flameproof electrical system, it operated continuously for 72 hours without failure in a simulated 500-meter deep mine environment in South Korea. The mucking efficiency is stably maintained at 90m³/h. The body is equipped with an infrared thermal imager that can monitor motor temperature in real-time to prevent high-temperature overload, complying with South Korea's Deep Mine Safety Regulations;
Dual-power mining dump truck: Equipped with a "diesel + lithium battery" dual-drive system, it automatically switches to pure electric mode (with a range of 120 kilometers) in underground areas without ventilation. The truck bed is made of imported high-chromium cast iron from South Korea, with impact resistance 40% higher than that of ordinary models, suitable for heavy ore transportation in South Korea's deep mines;
Constant temperature hydraulic drill rig: Equipped with an active temperature-controlled hydraulic oil circulation system, it maintains stable hydraulic oil viscosity in the environment of -5℃ to 40℃. The drilling verticality error is ≤0.3°, meeting the needs of precise exploration of deep ore bodies in South Korea. Its drill pipe service life reaches 800 cycles, 25% higher than the industry standard.
Technical Collaboration: Creating Solutions Meeting South Korea's Deep Mine Standards
The two parties conducted special docking around the special technical requirements of South Korea's deep mining and reached three cooperation consensuses:
Environmental adaptability transformation: Beijun will install KOSHA-certified gas concentration sensors for the equipment. When the underground gas concentration exceeds the standard, it will automatically shut down and activate sound and light alarms, and synchronously connect to the South Korean customer's mine safety monitoring platform;
Localized material adaptation: Plans to jointly develop special wear-resistant steel with South Korea's POSCO to improve the corrosion resistance of key equipment components in South Korea's high-sulfur mines, with an expected service life extended to 15,000 hours;
Joint construction of operation and maintenance system: It is proposed to set up an equipment maintenance training base in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. Beijun will dispatch technical teams to carry out Korean-language training on "equipment maintenance + fault diagnosis" to ensure that the customer's operation and maintenance personnel master the special maintenance skills for deep mining equipment.

After the inspection, the head of the delegation said: "The stability test data of Beijun's equipment in high-pressure environments is convincing, especially the explosion-proof design of electric mucking loaders and the dual-power switching technology of dump trucks, which have solved the safety and efficiency problems in our deep mining."
It is reported that the two parties have reached a preliminary cooperation intention. Beijun will provide 2 high-pressure resistant electric mucking loaders and 1 constant temperature hydraulic drill rig for the South Korean Yellow Sea Deep Copper Mine Test Project as pilot equipment for on-site verification, with underground commissioning expected to be completed in early 2026.
